Bring an existing website in
Load a website package or a backup file - as a new website, or as an update to one you already have.
If a developer, an agency or an AI tool handed you a website package, or you downloaded a backup from SnabbSajt earlier, you can load it here and get an ordinary website you edit like any other.
Open Load a website package from your dashboard, or Settings → Backup & move on a website you already have.
What you can load
- A
.zippackage from a developer or an AI tool. - A backup you downloaded from SnabbSajt -
.zipor.json.
Nothing is published automatically. The website is created as a draft only you can see, and your existing websites are left untouched.
New website, or update an existing one
You choose what happens with the package:
- Create a new website - the usual choice.
- Update a website I already have - for a redesign or a batch of new pages.
Updating: you see it before it happens
Before anything is written you get a plain summary: how many sections are added, how many are updated, and how many are already identical.
Sections you edited yourself are left alone by default - your work is not overwritten by a package that doesn't know about it. If you'd rather take the package's version, there's a checkbox for exactly that.
A restore point is taken before anything is written, so an import can always be undone.
Moving from another website builder
Coming from Wix, one.com, Loopia or somewhere else? That's a different route: you describe your business, SnabbSajt builds a draft, and you review it before publishing. The important part is the order you do things in - the domain and email break if you cancel your old provider first. There's a checklist for it under Move here in your dashboard.
Next steps
- Version history - undoing an import.
- Settings - downloading a backup in the first place.
- Publish your website - making the imported website live.
