Get found on Google

What SnabbSajt does for your search visibility on its own, and the few things only you can do.

Most of search engine work is technical, and SnabbSajt does that part for you. What's left is the part only you can answer: what you do, where you do it, and what customers actually type when they look for it.

What happens on its own

Every published SnabbSajt website gets, without you touching anything:

  • A page title and description for each page, built from your business and your services - the words people search for, not generic filler.
  • A sitemap and a robots file, so search engines know what to read.
  • Structured data describing your business, your address, your reviews, your FAQ and your blog posts - the extra facts Google uses for map results and rich listings.
  • An image for sharing, so a link to you looks right on Facebook, LinkedIn and in chats.
  • A secure connection (the padlock), which is now a ranking factor in itself.
  • An llms.txt file, so AI assistants can read your website properly when someone asks them for a business like yours.

To control how one page reads in Google, override the title and description yourself: Pages → ⋯ on the page → Text in Google. The same dialog has Write with AI, which drafts both from the page's own content (1 credit). Leave the fields empty and the automatic text above is used.

None of it works until you publish. Search engines only ever see your published website.

The four things worth your time

1. Be findable at all

Settings → General → Show my website in search results must be on. It's the switch that asks search engines to include you. If you turned it off while building, turn it back on - and give it a while to take effect.

2. Put yourself on Google's map

Most people looking for a local business land in Google's map before they land on any website. Adding your business to Google is free, takes minutes, and is the single highest-value thing on this page. Your dashboard links you straight to it.

3. Say what you do, in the customer's words

Write "fönsterputs i Uppsala", not "helhetslösningar inom fastighetsvård". Use the words a customer would type. If you're stuck, select any text and use the AI suggestion Better for Google - it costs 1 credit and rewrites for search without turning your page into keyword soup.

4. Keep the website alive

A page that never changes slowly stops being interesting - to customers and to search engines. News articles are the cheapest way to keep it moving, and each one is a new page that can be found on its own.

What not to do

  • Don't make more pages saying the same thing. Five thin pages about the same service compete with each other. One good page wins.
  • Don't expect it overnight. A new address takes weeks to settle in search results. Bookings and calls will tell you it's working before the rankings do.
