Your email
Email is what makes people most nervous about switching, and reasonably so — an address that stops working is noticed by customers immediately. You have two routes, and both work.
Your email comes with you — we guide you
For you who want to keep info@yourbusiness.se and stop paying for an old subscription just to keep email alive.
- You tell us which inbox the mail should land in — the Gmail or Outlook you already read every day.
- We set up forwarding for your addresses, for example info@ and your own firstname@.
- You send a test message to the old address and read it in your normal inbox. Only then is it done.
- After that — and not before — you cancel the old subscription.
Good to know: We forward the address; we do not become your mailbox. Old saved messages do not move — they stay with your current provider. Download anything you want to keep before you close that account.
Or keep your email exactly where it is
For you who are happy with your current email and only want to change website. That is a perfectly sensible choice.
- You do not need to do anything with your email.
- When we connect the domain we change only the records that point at the website.
- Your email records (MX) are left untouched, so mail keeps working exactly as before.
Good to know: You then need to keep whichever subscription your email is part of. Check what that costs once the campaign price ends.
Never cancel the old subscription until a test message has landed correctly. With a bundled plan, both the addresses and the saved messages disappear when the plan ends, and that cannot be undone.
Good to know
- Wix locks in your design - it can't be exported, so the website is rebuilt fresh (usually better).
- Wix blogs don't move automatically; if you want your posts we'll help you bring them.
- Wix forms and apps are replaced by SnabbSajt's built-in contact form, booking and contacts.
Web address and email when you leave Wix
These are the two things that actually break during a move. Read this before you cancel anything.
- A Wix website cannot be exported. We read the published pages instead, so do not cancel Wix until your new website is live - when the subscription ends, the content we read from is gone too.
- Wix blog URLs contain /post/ (for example /post/my-article). Those addresses do not exist on a new website, so list your most important posts before the move so we can redirect them.
- If the domain was bought inside Wix you need their authorisation code. If you bought it separately at Loopia or one.com, it does not need to move at all - you just repoint it.
- Wix email is resold Google Workspace. The account stays with Google, but the invoice may sit with Wix - check who you are paying before you close the account.
- We never touch MX records when you connect the domain, so mail keeps working while the website changes hands.

How to cancel Wix – safely and in the right order
Always cancel last. Follow the steps in order and you lose neither web address, email nor visitors.
- 1Wait until your new website is published and tested - never cancel first.
- 2Secure the domain before cancelling: transfer it or confirm it is paid for and unlocked in your name.
- 3Check where your email lives - move or keep it before ending the website subscription.
- 4Cancel renewal under Premium subscriptions in your Wix account. If your domain is at Wix: transfer or repoint it first.
- 5Keep the final invoice and check next month that no further charges occur.
